We got to the backyard in Summit, New Jersey early and set up Blake's Among Us birthday party. This is a real-life hour, not kids sitting on screens. The ship was ready before anyone walked in.
We introduced ourselves and the kids shouted happy birthday to Blake. Then we put them on the jobs.
Tasks ran in rounds around the yard. The ship would not take off until the crew finished the list. One kid was sure the tasks were done. Then another job showed up on the other side of the yard.
They piled in for emergency meetings to talk about imposters, then headed back out for more tasks. We closed at the ship puzzle boxes.
Happy birthday, Blake. We stayed for pizza and cupcakes, then sent everyone out with party favors.
