We got to the backyard in Basking Ridge, New Jersey early and set up Jude's Ninjago birthday party. The path was ready before the first guest arrived.
We introduced ourselves and the kids shouted happy birthday to Jude. Then the hour started.
A short warmup came first. Cleanup was next. Smoke bombs were all over the yard. Two teams swept their side and threw the mess onto the other team.
Once the yard was clear they had to spinjitzu past Garmadon. Jude was in that group. Tagged kids went again until the whole crew made it through. Then we opened the Ninjago puzzle boxes, and that is where the hour ended.
Jude wanted another run at Garmadon after the first escape.
Happy birthday again, Jude. We sat down to pizza after the boxes, then cupcakes and party favors.
