We got there early and set up for Graham's Pirate birthday party in a backyard in Bernardsville, New Jersey. The net for Cannonball Cleanup went up with the rest of the hour. We were ready when the guests arrived.
We introduced ourselves. The kids shouted happy birthday to Graham. Four Corners got everyone on their feet, and then we split into two teams.
Cannonball Cleanup came next. Cannonballs went over the net and came back. Graham's guests threw, then threw again. They did not want to stop.
A round ended. They asked to go again. We let them. Another round ended. They asked again. Two teams kept sending cannonballs over the same net in that Bernardsville backyard. We stayed with them through those extra turns before the hour moved on.
Ship to Shore followed the net. Graham wanted the treasure box on every run. He went for the box, then down the plank, then back in line. Each time his turn came around, he did that same loop and got back in line for the box again.
Puzzle boxes ran after. Then the hour was over.
Happy birthday again, Graham. We closed with pizza and cupcakes in the backyard and party favors for the trip home.
