How The Hour Went

We got there early and set up Hogwarts in the backyard in Montclair, New Jersey for Nora's Harry Potter birthday party. We were ready when the guests arrived.

We introduced ourselves and the kids shouted happy birthday to Nora. Then they got sorted into houses.

Quidditch came next, first match on the grass. Sorting took a minute, then Nora's house headed straight for the grass.

After the match they earned wands from the puzzle boxes and a trail of clues. Once everyone had a wand, the hour closed with a wand battle.

We said happy birthday again to Nora, then sat down to pizza and cupcakes before favors.
