We got to the backyard in Verona, New Jersey early and set up Josie's Pirate Fairy birthday party. The path was ready before the first guest arrived.
We introduced ourselves and the kids shouted happy birthday to Josie. Then the hour started.
An evil pirate crew had torn through a fairy village. Cleanup came first. Two teams cleared the deck and threw the mess onto the other team.
Then it was ship to shore. Cannonball, water, the mast, fairy treasure, and a race home while a guide playing an octopus tried to catch them. Josie was in that run. Then we opened the pirate-fairy puzzle boxes, and that is where the hour ended.
Josie wanted to carry the fairy treasure herself.
Happy birthday again, Josie. We sat down to pizza after the boxes, then cupcakes and party favors.
Stay Adventurous,
Ginny
