Pirate

Owen's Pirate Birthday Party

Owen kept going back to Pop the Pirate. He would take a turn, walk over to the gems, and come right back. We had both stations in his Rahway yard. Other kids used them the same way. He stayed on Pop the Pirate and took one more turn after the others had moved on.

Frozen

Fiona's Frozen Birthday Party

Fiona made everyone wait while she found the last of Sven's carrots. Olaf was already standing in her Rahway yard. She would not start anything else until that last carrot was in. She counted them on the grass, then sat down and let the hour end.

Among Us

Joel's Among Us Birthday Party

Joel called the last task from the porch steps and would not let anyone vote yet. Tasks ran the length of his Rahway backyard. Meetings had already happened twice. He pointed at the job, waited for someone to finish it, then opened the floor for the last vote.

The Descendants

Ivy's Descendants Birthday Party

Ivy would not leave the stepping stones until she had crossed again. We were at the Gateway Family YMCA on Irving Street, and the gym floor stood in for the sea. The rest of the kids followed her over, then waited while she came back. She treated that return as required.

Wild Animals

Nash's Wild Animals Birthday Party

Nash asked for Animal Mayhem before we had finished the zoo cleanup. The animals were already out on his Rahway grass. The kids helped the zookeeper first, then he pulled them into mayhem and would not let it stop. He asked for one last short round and stayed in it.
