The West Orange Log
Pokémon is the theme we run most in West Orange.
Pokémon
Cooper's Pokémon party was in a West Orange backyard that dropped down in levels. Tables and decorations sat on the bottom. The party ran up top. He got so caught up earning coins and Pokéballs at the task stations that he forgot to catch any Pokémon. We had to remind him. Then he started catching them.
Spies
Vera wanted the field test across the grass: claws, a bomb to a tower, and a clean run back. We put it at Degnan Park. She had it on the first try and still lined up again. The second time she slowed down on purpose to watch the tagger.
Harry Potter
June's house stayed on the gym pitch as long as we let them. We were at the West Orange Community Center on Main Street. Sorting was done in a minute. She would not leave the floor for the clue trail. After we called the match she wanted another goal, and she took it.
Wild Animals
The zoo was a mess, so the kids helped the zookeeper clean up first. Then it was Animal Mayhem in Hayes's West Orange yard. He asked to stay in that one. He asked for it again before we packed up the animals. We ran a short last round. He stayed in mayhem until that round ended.
We change the kids' names when we write these up. Everything else is what happened.
