Westfield is one of our busiest towns: Pokémon, Avengers, Unicorns, Pirates, and Among Us come up constantly. We set up in the yard, or we use a park if you need more room. We bring the games, puzzles, props, and adventure guides.

Most Westfield parties happen in the backyard. If you want a park, Tamaques Park on Lamberts Mill Road has fields and open grass, and Mindowaskin Park on East Broad works for a smaller group. Indoors, the Westfield Area YMCA on Clark Street and the Westfield Recreation spaces on the CivicRec calendar are the usual backups.
Within 10 miles of Cranford, travel is included. We also run parties in Cranford, Mountainside, Scotch Plains, and Fanwood. 10 to 20 miles adds $30.
The Westfield Log
Ninjago
The temple was already under attack when we set up at Tamaques Park on Lamberts Mill Road. Thea's crew cleared the grass and tried Garmadon in waves. Tagged kids lined up and went again. Thea kept sending her team back in. They did not stop until everyone was through.
The Descendants
Kaiya would not cross until she had done the stepping stones herself. We waited in her Westfield yard while she walked the path, then the other kids followed. Once they reached the other side she turned around and did it again. That second crossing was the one she wanted.
The Pirate Fairy
We laid the ship-to-shore run in Emma's Westfield backyard. She was in it from the first crossing. The kids snatched the fairy treasure and raced back while a guide tried to catch them. Emma did not sit out a single pass. She asked if we could flip the start so she could run the other way.
Avengers Superhero
Peter walked into the Westfield Area YMCA on Clark Street already talking about the stones. We set the gym with capes and what Thanos had thrown down. He stayed in the feats until the last stone was in, then asked if they could count them again. We counted. He nodded and sat.
Rainbow Unicorn
The yard was tight, so we kept Rosalie's Unicorn hour on the lawn we had. She would not leave the carrot gates. Friends swept wreckage around her while she checked each carrot as it came through. When the storm came back she stayed put and made them run it past her pile.
Pokémon
A few kids in Milo's Westfield yard were meeting Pokémon for the first time. We put the catching table where they could see it. The ones who already knew the game pulled them through. Milo stayed with the new trainers and showed them what to turn in. They left with a collection each.
Monster Trucks
We ran Kit's Monster Trucks hour in a Westfield backyard. He wanted the oil-slick race more than the warmup. Kids swept the track, then lined up and tried not to spin out. Kit kept taking the same lane. He asked us to leave the slicks down so he could try that lane once more.
We change the kids' names when we write these up. Everything else is what happened.
